The Layers of the Earth
Here you learn about, well the layers of the earth. What is the crust? What is happening in the mantle? What are the layer's? Do you wonder ? Do you ,Do you realy wonder? keep reading.
Crust
The earths crust is the smallest layer of the earth it is 5 km under the ocean and it is 60 km under the continents. The crust is made out of basalt and granite type of rock. The crust the crust is around 200 degrees to 400 degrees. There are two types of crust one is continental crust and the other is oceanic crust.
Mantle
The mantle is the largest layer of the earth it takes up 84% of the earth. There are two sections in the mantle, the top is called the lithosphere and it also includes the crust. The lithosphere is a solid substance made out of dense rock that is about 1300 degrees. The bottom is called asthenosphere . The asthenosphere is a more liquid stubstance much like molasses also made out of dense rock and is about 7000 degrees.
Convection Currents
Convection currents occur in the mantle, asthenosphere is less dense then the lithosphere which is causing the molasses like substance to rise. After it rises it cools down in the lithosphere then because it is solid it is heavier, sinkes back down to the asthenosphere. This continues to happen causing convection currents.

Outer Core
The outer core is the closest to the inner core. The outer core is a liquid substance made out of iron and nickel. It is around 4000 to 6100 degrees hot. It is 1900 km thick. And s waves can’t pass through.
Inner Core
The inner core is 5000 to 7000 degrees hot. It is made out of iron and nickel it is solid. The reason it is solid is because all the weight from the other layers is packing it in. Think of a snowball and how you pat and pack it in so it is a hard little ball well that is what the crust, mantle, and outer core is doing to the inner core.
Video's above are explaining farther on what the earth's layers are.
